Frank West sacrifices himself so that Vicky, his student, and Brad can successfully evacuate from the zombie horde. Now go buy the DLC. No seriously, go buy the DLC if you want the true ending. Still curious? Frank becomes an evo zombie with new powers. Then he’s back in control with no powers which he slowly regains thanks to Dr. Blackburne’s help. The two then evacuate before Willamette is bombed and Frank is human again. There’s probably some attempt at deception but I couldn’t care less.
