Mad Max

Avalanche’s other big open world game, the dystopian Mad Max, may not necessarily have the pedigree of the Just Cause series due to its wildly different mechanics. However, the game – along with the upcoming move Mad Max: Fury Road – both exude an aura similar to the classic Mad Max films of yesteryear. The authenticity of the vehicle combat-oriented game is such that Avalanche actually had an Australian voice Max after a public outcry from fans.

There’s still quite a bit we don’t know about Mad Max but it will focus heavily on upgrading your car and treating it like the last bastion of salvation in a land of savages. The combat looks to be brutal and there’s no shortage of a post-apocalyptic world to explore. All we need from Avalanche at this point are details but even with what we have, we’re giddy with anticipation.
