There Was Competitive Multiplayer In Portal 2

If Portal 2 had competitive multiplayer, that would be a daunting task for the developers, because first and foremost there would be utter chaos in coding as well as on screen. The developers wanted to integrate all the good parts of games like Amiga, Speedball and Portal. However when it was implemented they found out that it was really chaotic and no one knew what to do or where to go. And hence they decided to go with Co-op multiplayer, which is also quite interesting, though less chaotic.
