There may be a large number of heavily anticipated releases this Holiday season but Naughty Dog’s Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection is anticipated to be a system seller, according to PlayStation UK product manager Joe Palmer in an interview with MCV.
“It certainly has the power to be a system-seller this Christmas. It offers fantastic value as a gifting proposition, giving newcomers the chance to pick up a PlayStation 4 with three great games at a very competitive price. PlayStation’s audience base has also changed significantly since the original Uncharted games were released, so there’s a huge number of gamers looking to buy a PS4 who may never have played these games before.”
This is especially the case when you consider that 80 percent of PS4 owners have never played any game in the franchise before. Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection represents a huge opportunity for Sony to tap into that market when it releases on October 9th for the PS4.
