Unravel

Coldwood Interactive’s Unravel, with the beloved string being Yarney, returned for EA’s Gamescom presser and we received a look at pre-alpha gameplay footage which exemplified the game’s physics-based puzzles. In this case, Yarney is looking for ways to traverse a body of water without outright drowning. You’ll need to do this without running out of string and objects in the environment will often be the solution.

Unravel is perhaps one of the most intriguing new IP to come from EA since it focuses on a simple presentation and low-key story that appeals to players’ emotions. Thus far, it’s looking pretty good. Unravel will be heading to the Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Sadly, no release date was revealed so there’s something to wait for.

What are your thoughts on Unravel’s gameplay footage at Gamescom 2015? Let us know your thoughts in the comments. And remember – Yarney is love, Yarney is life or something to that effect.
