As pre-orders open up for Firesprite Games’ Until Dawn 2, some PS5 players may be surprised to see that it only costs $49.99. That’s for the Standard Edition – the Digital Deluxe Edition is $59.99 and includes the Y2K Neon Vibes Pack with alternate outfits and the Dioramas of Death mode.
Regardless, the pricing is rather unconventional. PlayStation’s first-party single-player titles tend to cost $70 – see the upcoming Marvel’s Wolverine, with God of War: Laufey likely to follow suit in February 2027.
But costing $10 less than the remake of the first Until Dawn is strange, to say the least, especially since it’s been in the works for at least four years and also involves Dispatch developer AdHoc Studio. We’ll have to wait and see if it’s worth the asking price – for now, it’s a solid point of entry for horror fans.
Until Dawn 2 launches on January 28th, 2027, exclusively on PS5, and focuses on a TV crew of fraudulent ghost hunters who venture to an abandoned island for their next episode. As you might expect, things take a grisly turn, and given the role of Blackwood Pines Sanatorium, there may be few survivors (if that’s what you’re after, of course).
