Valheim

Not even a week after it was reported to have sold over three million units, Iron Gate AB’s Valheim has reached four million players. The survival sandbox title released on February 2nd via Steam Early Access and has shot up in terms of popularity. According to the developer’s recent stats, it hit 500,000 concurrent players this past weekend.

Players have accrued a total of 10,000 years of playtime and the game currently holds an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating on Steam with 81,000+ user reviews. It’s currently rated 57th among Steam’s Top 250 best reviewed titles of all time. Not bad for a team of just five people.

Of course with the game’s recent success, Iron Gate AB is looking into expanding. It’s also laid out its updates for the coming months with additional bosses, recipes, a new biome, ship customization and much more on the way.
