Square Enix’s Valkyrie Elysium could be due for a release date announcement soon. It was recently rated in Brazil by Classificação Indicativa for PS4, PS5 and PC. The listing went live on June 21st and didn’t offer many new details but at least things are moving along behind-the-scenes.

Developed by Soleil and confirmed for a 2022 release, Valkyrie Elysium is a follow-up to tri-Ace’s acclaimed Valkyrie Profile series. It sees a new Valkyrie fighting to save the world from Ragnarok, though combat will be in real-time instead of turn-based. Along with hacking and slashing foes, players can also use magic. There are large environments to explore and a variety of enemies to fight.

Near the end of the announcement trailer, a mysterious Dragoon-like figure was revealed. Perhaps we’ll learn more about them in the coming months with the Tokyo Game Show set for September 15th to 18th. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
