Former Valorant game director Joe Ziegler has announced that he’s joined Destiny 2 developer Bungie. As a new game director for the studio, he’s working on “new stuff that hopefully will one day get to be played by you all.”
The interesting part is that Ziegler didn’t mention working on Destiny 2 or its PvP components, Crucible and Trials of Osiris. It could be for the new multiplayer action game currently in development at Bungie.
Ziegler has worked as a game director at Riot Games for more than eight years, focusing solely on Valorant. He passed the torch over to Andy Ho, who is still working on the competitive first-person shooter. Stay tuned for further details and updates on Bungie’s new project in the future.
In the meantime, Destiny 2’s latest season, Season of the Seraph, recently kicked off. It sees players completing Heist Battlegrounds activities to restorer Rasputin, the Warmind. A new dungeon, Spire of the Watcher, also went live, and The Dawning, the annual holiday celebration event, is also available. Iron Banner also returns on January 3rd, 2023, with the new Fortress mode.
Update: Happy to announce my new home is at Bungie working on new stuff that hopefully will one day get to be played by you all. Much <3.
