Vampyr Launch Trailer Challenges Players to Choose Their Victims

As a vampire, you must choose who lives and who dies.

After an extensive development period and several delays, Dontnod Entertainment’s Vampyr will finally be launching next week. To celebrate, publisher Focus Home Interactive has released a launch trailer featuring Jonathan Reid. Check it out below.

If the trailer didn’t provide enough explanation, Reid is a doctor who’s recently become a vampire in London. This causes supernatural creatures, hunters and other terrible things to awaken. Reid must choose between his bloodlust and relationships in order to survive, especially as the city crumbles under the Spanish Flu.

Each character in the game is unique and has their own backstory and quests. Not only can Reid choose to bequeath them but can also feed on them, developing his abilities further. As such, if you want to combat the hunters and stand any chance of surviving, it becomes a matter of choosing the next victim.

Vampyr is out on June 5th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
