Digital Extremes has revealed that the upcoming free to play title Warframe, which will be releasing at launch for the PlayStation 4, will be a timed exclusive for the console for three months.

Creative director Steve Sinclair stated that, “With how the industry is evolving, this really is the player generation. Games are reaching players hands in so many different ways now and Sony gets it, which is why we are bringing Warframe exclusively to the PS4 first. There’s no reason not to download Warframe on day one if you’re an action game lover – it’s free.”

The game will be releasing on November 15th in North America and November 29th in Europe to coincide with the launch of the PlayStation 4. It’s also been revealed that an iOS and Android app called Warframe Nexus will also release on the same day, which lets players craft inventories, access game info and set up co-op missions with friends.
