Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is still on the road to its big Anniversary Update in September, but in the meantime, Patch 14.0 is live and brings two new PvP maps – Sanctum and Facility. The former offers more room to fight in the open, culminating in a central area for brawls, while the latter is touted as “one of the most compact” with tons of flanking routes.
PvP players also get new Medals and visual changes that help to highlight their Achievements while also affecting their XP gain. There’s also a new Team Reshuffle option that reassigns players when a match concludes. Though meant to keep things fair, it’s also experimental, so keep that in mind.
On the PvE side, you’ll have to deal with the new Scarab Occult Terminator Sorcerer, who fights with magic and creates illusions to throw you off. You can also unlock six new Heroic Weapons and four Heroic Armor sets with Accolades. Of course, there are also four new Ordeals to overcome.
Wargear has also received a small update, allowing tabards and capes to coexist on certain classes thanks to a third slot. Vanguard and Heavy will be able to equip robes and tabards in Patch 15, while Bulwark needs to wait past that for Capes.
