Weird West

WolfEye Studios’ Weird West has been delayed from the originally planned Fall 2021 release window. It’s now releasing on January 11th 2022 for PS4, PC and Xbox One. To help tide players over, a new gameplay trailer has been released, showcasing the various immersive sim elements that can be employed.

Weird West offers a fairly big world to explore and five major characters to play as. These include the bounty hunter Jane Bell; Cl’erns Qui’g, the cursed pigman; the guardian of the land, Across Waters; Desiderio Rios the werewolf; and future-seer Nell Bitterleaf. Each has their own unique stories and play-styles along with upgrades for Revolvers, Rifles, Shotguns and other weapons.

Of course, thanks to the immersive sim nature of the game, there are various ways to approach situations. Employ stealth and get the drop on foes, or use an oil barrel to spread fire and sow confusion among foes. Looting foes and acquiring better weapons, taking on bounties and much more are also necessary for survival. Be careful though – choices are permanent. Stay tuned for more details in the coming months.
