Dotemu’s long-awaited arcade sports sequel Windjammers 2 is now available for Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4 and Google Stadia. It’s also playable on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass. Check out the launch trailer below which features some snazzy animation with all of the characters.
As a sequel to the cult classic, Windjammers 2 offers fast-paced action with the objective of shooting a Frisbee into your opponent’s goal. It’s easier said than done though and there are a number of techniques from smashes and slapshots to dropshots and EX Moves. Characters from the original like Hiromi Mita, Loris Biaggi, Gary Scott and Jordi Costa return along with new competitors like Sophie De Lys, Jao Raposa, Sammy Ho and Max Hurricane.
Along with multiple stages and a dedicated Arcade Mode, Windjammers 2 also sports local and online multiplayer. The new 2D art-style also channels the classic retro style while the music captures the 90s sports tone. For more details, check out our interview with the developer here.
