Xbox has been slowly but steadily trying to gain a foothold in Japan, with the acquisition of Tango Gameworks and the launch of Xbox Cloud Gaming in the region, for instance. Now, according to an Xbox exec based in the region, the Xbox Game Studios team is expanding to create many new experiences.

As posted on Twitter, Xbox Game Publishing’s Matt Smith has revealed that the team has been growing as of late, and they are working on what’s being described as a truly groundbreaking product for Xbox in partnership with “top-class developers”.

There are multiple open roles that interested applicants based in Japan can apply for, such as the likes of a Senior Technical Producer, Software Engineer, and a Game Build Engineer. Of course, other details on the matter remain scant for now, but we are sure that more details will be popping up in the not-so-distant future.

Till then, stay tuned for all related updates.
