While the game that has gotten the most talk at this year’s Gamescom has been Scalebound, there is another Xbox One exclusive that is quite the up and comer in Quantum Break. We just recently got a video showing this game off in a proper way for the first time and now we’re getting a few more details about just what you can do as the protagonist.

Dualshockers got a behind closed doors presentation with the game’s Creative Director Sam Lake and he laid out just how the time powers are set to work in Quantum Break. The Time Powers are represented by a set of icons on the right side of the screen. Each has its own resource bar, these resource bars will get depleted as players use them and will eventually refill over time. The player will start out with a very basic set of powers but will be able to gain new powers as they progress through the story.

Lake detailed five of the powers that will be able to be used as weapons throughout the game. The first is called Time Blast, this allows for a focused burst that will break up time with rather destructive results. Time Rush allows the player to run away while time is frozen, escaping from dangers too great to overcome otherwise. Time Dodge is a shorter version of Rush, a kind of quick dodge. Time shield forms a protective shield that can deflect bullets and Time Stop freezes time in a selected area, freezing enemies in place for a time.

Quantum Break will launch on April 6, 2016, exclusively on Xbox One.
