Oh look, another Rare franchise that Microsoft has underutilized and roundly ignored (for the most part). The first two games are considered among the best classic fighters ever, and for some reason, in 2013, Microsoft decided to follow that up with a free-to-play title. Now, to be fair, though the game was lacking in content at launch, it was mechanically solid, and subsequent seasons have only gone on to make it that much better, while also adding more new content. So our hope is that Microsoft will continue to invest in the franchise, and give us a fourth Killer Instinct title as well.
