Microsoft hasn’t provided many details on when its first-party games showcase for the Xbox Series X will be happening. A recent report indicated that it wouldn’t be in early July, which more or less seems confirmed now. According to VentureBeat’s Jeff Grubb on Twitter, the showcase will apparently be taking place in the week of July 20th.
VGC further corroborated the information from its own sources and revealed that the showcase is planned for July 23rd. The same report indicated that third-party publishers would be unveiling content but the main focus is on games from Xbox Game Studios. 343 Industries’ Halo Infinite is the only title officially confirmed thus far with a worldwide premiere of its gameplay.
Other titles, like the rumored Perfect Dark sequel from The Initiative and Fable 4 from Playground Games, could also be present. One reveal that seems somewhat unlikely is Xbox Lockhart, the lower-cost alternative to the Xbox Series X which is rumored to be revealed “sooner rather than later”. Take all of this with a grain of salt in the meantime and stay tuned for more details.
