It’s finally July, which means that Microsoft’s upcoming showcase of first-party titles for Xbox Series X will be taking place. The company hasn’t indicated when this will be happening, though rumors point to July 23rd being the day. Interestingly, we could get an announcement on the showcase’s date sometime this week, if not later today.

Niko Partners senior analyst Daniel “ZhugeEX” Ahmad stated that there should be “some news soon on when more next gen content will be shown.” Emphasis should be placed on “when” and “will be shown” which seems to be referring to a date announcement. When asked how many days are “soon” however, Ahmad responded, “Like one or so.”

Insider Klobrille also tweeted about it “should be a fun week ahead.” When asked if the Xbox event would be taking place next week, he responded negatively. This fits the narrative of the event taking place in the week of July 23rd, if not on the day itself. Again though, take everything with a grain of salt until an official announcement is made.

The Xbox Series X first-party showcase will feature titles from Xbox Game Studios with 343 Industries’ Halo Infinite confirmed to be hearing. We’ll likely hear more about other titles in the coming days so stay tuned for more information.
