Monolith Soft has a new trailer out for Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition, focusing on the diverse cast that players will be journeying with. Along with protagonist Shulk, who wields the Monado, we get to see his best friends Reyn and Fiora in action. Check out the trailer below.

There are several other intriguing figures including the heroic Dunban, the sniper/medic Sharla, Riki the heropon and the mage princess Melia. The trailer also provides a fairly good sampler of the English voice-acting. Whether Japanese audio will be available from the outset for Western players or added post-launch in a patch like Xenoblade Chronicles 2 remains to be seen.

Even more intriguing, however, is the tease of the “Future Connected” epilogue in the end. It sees Melia, the focus of this new story, planning to travel to Alcamoth with Shulk and friends. Alcamoth features in the base game as well and serves as the capital of Bionis.

Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition is out on May 29th for Nintendo Switch.
