The Yakuza series has been a long running one, and just went through a radical reinvention with the latest game in the series, Yakuza: Like a Dragon (or Yakuza 7, if you happen to be in the Japanese region). The series is also prepped to get a celebration of sorts later this month.

On December 18th, a live anniversary based stream based around the franchise will air. It will feature Kazuma Kiryu’s voice actor Takaya Kuroda and Ichiban Kasuga’s voice actor Kazuhiro Nakatani. It’s not clear if there will be any new information or footage, but we’ll keep you updated if there is.

The Yakuza series has always been a huge franchise in Japan, the series is just now starting to get a foothold in the west. The latest games have sold better than the past, and the series is finally coming to the Xbox series via Game Pass later in 2020. The last game in the series, Yakuza: Like a Dragon is set to release in Japan January 16th 2020 with an undetermined release for the west later.
