Yakuza: Like a Dragon Might Be Coming To Steam

The franchise reinvention might be headed to PC when it comes West.

Yakuza Like A Dragon

Yakuza: Like a Dragon launched for PS4 in Japan last year, and is scheduled to release for the console in western markets some time in 2020, but it seems that when it does so, it won’t be exclusive to Sony’s platform. The turn-based RPG might also see a simultaneous release on PC via Steam.

The Steam page for the game recently got leaked, and is still up and visible on SteamDB– so even if the game’s PC launch isn’t simultaneous, it’s looking very likely that it will at some point release on PC. Of course, until we get an official confirmation from Sega, we can’t be too sure of the timeline (or if it will even happen), but it’s worth noting that the Yakuza series has been seeing a lot of PC releases of late.

Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwamiand Yakuza Kiwami 2 have all been released on PC via Steam over the last couple of years, so it would make sense if the next instalment in the franchise follows suit. That said, if it does happen, it raises other questions- for instance, will other recent Yakuza titles, like Yakuza 6: The Song of Life or the Yakuza 5 remaster also make their way to PC? One can only hope, right?
