Yakuza Like A Dragon

Ryu ga Gotoku Studio continues to release new details on Yakuza: Like A Dragon before its release in Japan. We get to learn about the Gangster and Military families, each consisting of different tiered foes with unique attacks. There are also two new Summons that can help in fights.

The Gangster Family should be familiar to fans as they resemble the various yakuza roaming the streets of Kamurocho. The Gangster Ace and Gangster Boss are some of the tougher foes since they use gunfire, which you can’t defend against. Then there’s the Military Family which use knives and bow guns. The Armynater is the biggest threat here since he – or it – can fire lasers from its eyes.

As for the Summons, the first is Kiyoe Shirakawa who uses “Madonna’s Soup-Run” to heal your party’s Mental Points or MP. You can also call in Striking Falcon who rides in on a motorcycle to attack all foes with “Idaten Dance”, which can inflict Burn status damage. Just make sure you have enough money for the Summons.

Yakuza: Like A Dragon is out on January 16th 2020 for PS4 in Japan. Its demo is currently available on the PlayStation Store in Japan.
