Zelda Breath of the Wild “Should Be Great”, Super Mario Odyssey “Looked Fresh” – Phil Spencer

Xbox boss interested in "new game ideas" to come from Switch.

Sony Worldwide Studios president for SCE Shuhei Yoshida already commented on the Nintendo Switch following its January 13th presentation and now it’s the turn of Xbox division boss Phil Spencer to share his thoughts.

Over on Twitter, Spencer noted that, “[Super Mario Odyssey] looked new/fresh. [The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild] should be great. Hybrid console, will be fun to see what new game ideas come from that.”

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey were arguably the highlights of the presentation so that’s good news for Nintendo. Also, despite concerns about pricing and launch titles, it seems Nintendo isn’t having too much trouble with demand – GameStop recently reported selling through its current stock of Switch consoles just hours after the presentation.

What are your thoughts on the Nintendo Switch and its viability in the coming months? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more updates.
