2. Metal Gear Solid 5: (PS3, PS4, 360, Xbox One)
Metal Gear has taken a drastic turn with the fifth title in the series. While the entire franchise has slowly been moving to a more open world style of game play this is the first game that will truly be considered an open world in the MGS world. With the open world comes a plethora of new stealth mechanics as well as transportation options in the game. Everything from horses and jeeps to armored vehicles and probably a lot more as well. This coupled with a real-time weather system should get the player thinking about all the new and useful tactics at their finger tips. They've also introduced a new voice actor to play Snake, Kiefer Sutherland a famous actor whose most recently known for the successful TV series, 24. While this is a departure from the previous voice actor David Hayter, Sutherland appears to be a good choice. Kojima and his team are also pushing the story to new heights and tackling more, true to life problems in war torn nations. We will be shown the more monstrous sides of soldiers and our supposed “Heroes” in the Metal Gear world, so the game is supposed to take a decidedly darker turn, as we've seen images of child soldiers and d rug smuggling gone wrong. It’s a sharp departure from the earlier games in the franchise that has many players excited, though maybe a bit nervous as well.
