Guerilla Games’ Horizon Zero Dawn was one of the most creative games of the last generation, and Horizon Forbidden West improved upon that formula in every conceivable way. Aloy’s journey through the Forbidden West takes her through many ups and downs, and it’s definitely quite the adventure. But there’s a lot of fun to be had in exploring what other avenues the world of Forbidden West presents us with – including but not limited to options like side quests or fights with the machines or collectathons.There’s a vast breadth of diverse locales available to explore, and while Horizon Forbidden West sticks to the traditional style of map marker-based exploration, the entire process is quite rewarding to say the least. You can easily spend dozens upon dozens of hours in each area without touching the main quest, but you will still be having a lot of fun doing that.
