GHOST OF TSUSHIMA
We’ll stick with Sucker Punch here, because it’d be a shame to not give Ghost of Tsushima its flowers here, of which it deserves plenty. No, it obviously doesn’t tout itself as an authentic historical recreation of the Japanese island of Tsushima, but it’s undeniable that it boasts one of the most gorgeous, unique, and memorable open world settings ever in a video game. It’s a large map that’d densely packed with enjoyable things to do, and above all else, thanks to its stellar art design and breathtaking environments, exploring it remains an absolute pleasure from the first minute to the last.
