Endings That Change A Series
Endings that fundamentally change a game’s story for the worse are one thing. Try an ending that changes an entire series. Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain was built up as this big deal and even with the overall inconsistent plot, we had hope that the ending would resolve something. Turns out, it simply explains how Big Boss survived the destruction of Outer Heaven in Metal Gear 1 – because it was actually Venom Snake and not the real Big Boss. This whole game has been the tale of Big Boss’s body double who just dies in Metal Gear 1. Yep.
