“Improving” the Original Ending (But Not Really)
No matter which side of the ending fence you fell on, the conclusion to Mass Effect 3 – and the overall trilogy – was pretty “meh”. Such was the backlash however that BioWare sought to “fix” this with the Extended Cut. And while it was neat to refuse the Reapers or see additional cinematics about what your actions accomplished, did that really wrap up years of choices and character development? Not really.
