It might look like a lesser Monster Hunter clone at this point but Dauntless has its own unique thing going on. Currently in Early Access but releasing later this year, Dauntless allows players to hunt different Behemoths for the purpose of crafting materials to make armour and become stronger. While the size and scale isn’t the same as Monster Hunter World, Dauntless will be going free to play this year and may hit PC before the former. Maybe that’s incentive enough for some players?
