Final Fantasy 13 Announced for Xbox 360 (E3 2008)
Once upon a time, Final Fantasy was exclusive to PlayStation consoles (before being exclusive to Nintendo consoles but that’s another thing). Final Fantasy 13 appeared to be the next big step forward alongside Final Fantasy Versus 13 with both originally announced for PS3. However at Microsoft’s E3 2008 presser, Square Enix dropped a bomb-shell – Final Fantasy 13 would be coming to Xbox 360 as well. Though many hardcore fans were livid, it did serve as a catalyst for the franchise to finally go multi-console, even if some fans look back on Final Fantasy 13 in a less than fond manner.
