Rachet & Clank Future Saga
Starting with 2007’s Tools of Destruction, through 2008’s Quest for Booty, and culminating in 2009’s A Crack in Time, Rachet & Clank’s Future Saga aren’t just the best games in Rachet & Clank’s canon, but amongst the best games on the PS3 full stop. Sure, the saga had a fourth entry – Into the Nexus – but by this point Insomniac Games were burnt out, especially seeing as A Crack in Time already represented the pinnacle of Ratchet & Clank given it harnessed all the elements that made the series so revered up to that point. If you’re wanting to get into Rachet & Clank, go for the Future Saga over the Classic Trilogy – it’s writing, story, visuals, and gameplay are the best the series ever was.
