The brainpunk future of Scarlet Nexus isn’t all that it seems. It starts out with Yuito and Kasane, two members of the OSF battling against the monstrous Others with Psychokinesis, and quickly devolves into a mind-bending journey of epic proportions. Don’t get us wrong – crushing enemies with psychic powers is very satisfying, thanks to the combat system – but the setting and overall story feed into the post-apocalyptic vibes so well especially when the bigger picture is revealed.
