Half-Life: Alyx

As the first real Half-Life title in about 13 years, Half-Life: Alyx built off of the authoritarian City 17 setting on a smaller, more personal scale. Playing as Alyx before the events of Half-Life 2, one explores the Quarantine Zone, battling Combine soldiers, Headcrabs and other threats to try and save her father. The action is slower-paced but more visceral and deliberate while the VR mechanics meshed incredibly well with the series’ style of puzzle solving and exploration.
