The 2009 release Bionic Commando failed to meet fan expectations. Bionic Commando sees players controlling protagonist Nathan Spencer across radiation-filled and challenging environments. Players could use the game’s innovative hook mechanics alongside progressive unlocks to traverse the game’s linear levels. However, an ever-looming feel of unpolished game design became the biggest criticism for the game. The game had janky animations and level designs that can be best described as flawed, which ultimately made it a huge disappointment for series fans.
