The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
Before Cyberpunk 2077 CD Projekt RED absolutely nailed an open world rife with stories. This is an open world where should you focus on the main storyline only, you’ll miss some of the game’s best diversions. Side quests are aplenty, and they’re remarkably varied enough that even a 60-hour playthrough might only scratch the surface of what’s out there in the beautiful wilds. Treasure hunts, investigating mysterious massacres, rescue missions, revenge, betrayal, truth; each side quest contributes to a broader picture of this vast land and its inhabitants. How Geralt chooses to resolve a side quest affects other points in the story too. A masterpiece.
