Team Fortress 2
Team Fortress first began as a mod for Quake and was super popular. That’s likely what prompted Valve to hire the team responsible to create Team Fortress 2, a stand-alone sequel. Though it was announced in 1998, Team Fortress 2 wouldn’t have a lot of updates. In fact, the next time it surfaced was with its realistic graphics replaced by a cartoonish aesthetic. Oh and it also casually shipped with The Orange Box in 2007 along with Portal. It may not be one of Valve’s best supported games currently but Team Fortress 2 is still a pretty fun hero shooter.
