Halo 2
Music can say what words can’t, and the opening moments of Halo 2 communicated its identity flawlessly with its sweeping score. The very first shot players see is the destroyed ring from Halo 1, serving as a perfect return to the sci-fi setting. Players get treated to a wealth of Covenant politics right off the bat too, with their leader, The Arbiter, being branded a heretic for failing to protect the Halo ring from the events of the first game. Then the perspective switches to the one who destroyed it, Master Chief, and what ensues is a tightly-crafted mission protecting earth from Covenant invasion. The quality of the game was solidified after Chief gave the Covenant their bomb.
