After finishing the main story, Deacon receives a call from the NERO researcher O’Brian. You’d probably expect him to turn on you or some such other twist. However, as it turns out, O’Brian is actually infected and a Freaker himself. NERO was apparently aware of the virus’ effects and it seems to be planning something even nastier. O’Brian eventually leaves but the door for a sequel is open.
