That’s a lot of Mario, and no, we didn’t say “Mario” twice by mistake. Though there’s been a lot of back and forth over this over the years, Nintendo and Shigeru Miyamoto ultimately seem to have settled on the fact that his full name is Mario Mario. Yes, Mario is his first name, and his last name. Mario is a perfectly fine name and everything, but we’re not sure it’s good enough to be used twice on the same person.
