GOD OF WAR
God of War isn’t really open world- we know. But it’s larger and more expansive than we could have imagined, and when viewed in context of what the series has done in the past, it’s size and density is even more impressive. The Lake of Nine, its hub world, is huge, and littered with a great many side quests and activities which, for the most part, prove to be deeply engaging, and enrich an already memorable experience. From freeing dragons to fighting against the Valkyries to simply gazing at the destroyed remains of the land, with the World Serpent’s coiled form always looming in the background, Midgard is an amazing setting that is larger and more varied than any of us expected it to be.
