Anyone who’s played Overwatch knows the terror that was the Mercy meta. Oddly enough, the development team at Blizzard has a habit of not toning down or balancing a powerful hero immediately, even if they reign the meta for months on end. Case in point, Ana in the first tank meta, D.Va in the initial dive meta, Brigitte, Mercy, post-rework Hanzo, the list goes on.
