Project Belfry
Of the many rumored projects being published by Xbox Game Studios, Project Belfry is perhaps the most exciting. Reportedly developed by Stoic Studio of The Banner Saga fame, it’s a side-scrolling action game with an animation style akin to Princess Mononoke.
In The Xbox Two podcast for May, Windows Central’s Jez Corden revealed that it may also have cloud-based multiplayer along with a social hub like Destiny. Whether it will have co-op or not remains to be seen but the project has apparently been in development since 2019. A reveal next month and a release later this year are both definitely possible.
