Dead Space
You’ve heard about this numerous times. You’ve watched it numerous times. However, like the Beast’s appearance in Mulholland Drive, it never fails to get you on some subliminal level. Isaac Clarke’s girlfriend Nicole, for all intents and purposes, is dead. It’s a sobering revelation that he learns near the end of Dead Space. However, despite escaping the Hive Mind and the destruction of Aegis VII, what should Isaac be attacked by but Nicole. At the time we thought she was just a Necromorph-ish version of Nicole that would kill Isaac. Turns out, it was much worse.
