(Initially) Huge Plothole in Ending
Speak to anyone who played the base Fallout 3 experience back in the day and the most common complaint was with the ending. Basically, you had to enter a heavily irradiated area to save the day or sacrifice Sarah Lyons. Why couldn’t you send someone else, like your Supermutant ally Fawkes who was radiation proof? Well, you couldn’t so go in and sacrifice yourself. This plot-hole was fixed in Broken Steel which both gave you the choice to send someone other than Sarah and didn’t kill you if you played hero.
