2. The Controller

While great improvements in the Xbox One have been done and are lauded, it still leaves a little to be desired. Mostly because that is something that we’re always interacting with and it serves as a constant reminder as to what is wrong with the controller. MS has worked a lot on the controller to make it ‘Rage proof’, meaning thereby, that you can throw the controller but it will only shatter its outer casing but not render it unusable. There are certainly nods of agreement for this, but the crux of the matter is that the controller is supposed to make the gaming experience more immersive.

Having improved a number of things, there are still some missing. It doesn’t feel right when you look at the controller and can’t tell if you’re player number 1 or 2. The shoulder triggers have a particular zone where they work properly and it’s galling especially because the Xbox 360s controller had no such issue. Then there’s also the battery pack and the battery life issue. And they called it an improvement.
