SITH OR JEDI (STAR WARS: KNIGHTS OF THE OLD REPUBLIC)

knights of the old republic

This is one of the not-so-common instances of a game doing pure black and white choices right. Close to the very end, Knights of the Old Republic pulls the rug out from under the players by revealing that we’re actually the Sith lord, Darth Revan, whose memory had been modified by the Jedi so that he would no longer be a threat to them. Depending on where their alignment has been by the time the game ends, the player can either side with the Sith, or the Jedi, and ultimately either become the Dark Lord of the dark forces, or be celebrated as a hero of the galaxy.
