15 Video Games That Overdelivered and Then Some

There wasn’t much in the way of professional criticism surrounding Crystal Dynamics’ Tomb Raider reboot when it was announced. However, there were grumblings amongst gamers that a grittier version of a much-loved franchise might be too much to bear, or that maybe it’s relevance will be diminished given Uncharted’s success, or that Lara’s new design is weak, or that her role as an untested explorer is too far removed from the Lara we’ve been playing as for nearly 2 decades. Substantial numbers didn’t see the point in this reboot; however, doubters should be silent now as the trilogy on the whole did justice to Lara’s legacy.
