TEMPEST (PS5)

Sony finally seem to be giving the aural side of video game experiences the attention it deserves. The PS5 comes with a custom built 3D audio engine, called Tempest, which promises much more immersive audio in games than anything we’re used to seeing. The fact that Sony are going as far as to read the shape and size of each individual player’s ears to estimate what the best audio experience will be for that player in particular is also quite intriguing, to say the least (and also a little weird).
