REDUCED PATCH INSTALL TIMES (PS5)
Reduced load times and larger game worlds enabled by faster streaming of in-game assets aren’t the only things the PS5’s SSD claims to bring to the table (though those are certainly the headlining improvements). Another nifty new upgrade the console will enjoy thanks to its SSD is significantly shorter install times for patches, since the console will no longer need to make brand new files with changes patched into them. Anyone who’s had to download massive files after Call of Duty patches knows what a big boon this will be next gen.
